A map which unfolds like a pop-up, or origami-style, is perfect for this.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In New York, I used <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vandam.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">vanDam<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0931141001?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=joshleecom-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0931141001\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" style=\"border: medium none  ! important; margin: 0px ! important\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NYC Unfolds<\/a>, which you can get at many Manhattan newsagents. Very, very handy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>In London, I used <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/981268039X?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=joshleecom-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=981268039X\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" style=\"border: medium none  ! important; margin: 0px ! important\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Berlitz&#8217;s London Pocket Map<\/a>, which contains a close up of the West End, where I was staying.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Another option I used in London was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1846701015?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=joshleecom-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=1846701015\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" style=\"border: medium none  ! important; margin: 0px ! important\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Time Out Shortlist London<\/a>, which is pocketable, thicker and heavier, but a better and more complete guide to the city.
